We are pleased to announce that we now offer the world-renowned eye program: The Kondrot Program.
This program is designed for those who have been told that nothing can be done to improve their sight or are seeking solutions that don’t involve surgery or medications. From macular degeneration, glaucoma, to cataracts, the Kondrot Program can help.
To learn more about how your vision can be restored, we've prepared an online presentation with Dr. Peters and Dr. Kondrot. You can sign up for this upcoming presentation HERE >>
MindBody medicine is the essence of healing and consists of evaluating and restoring the natural wisdom of the body, and, uncovering the origins of disease within the conscious and unconscious mind as well as reducing stress.
Whereas conventional medical practice focuses on the treatment of disease using drugs and surgery, mindbody medicine is based on promoting health as the best treatment for disease. Medications and surgery are great for infections and trauma, but they are not so effective for the epidemic of chronic disease in modern society.
In 2004, Bill Clinton experienced chest pains and ended up with four vessel coronary artery bypass surgery due to severely blocked coronary arteries. Six years later, in 2010, still under the care of his cardiologist, he again has chest pains and required two stents. Finally, upon the advice of his daughter Chelsea, Dr Dean Ornish, Dr Caldwell Esselstyn and T. Colin Campbell, he is eating a plant based diet free of animal products. He has lost 35 lbs, and according to medical research is likely to reverse the blockage in his heart arteries.READ MORE
Modern cancer research is moving away from the magic bullet, “military attack” approach of chemotherapy to “kill the enemy” and into an understanding the terrain, or microenvironment, of the body and how it has deteriorated over the years so as to allow renegade cancer cells to grow. Cancer is a symptom of a toxic internal terrain which includes low oxygen levels, increased blood viscosity, poor cellular nutrient intake, impaired repair and regulatory systems, toxin buildup, and chronic psychological and physiological stresses that result in gradual immune deterioration.READ MORE
The first step in addiction recovery at MindBody Medicine Center is a functional medical assessment looking for conditions in the body that contribute to fatigue, anxiety, depression, reduced pain tolerance, poor focus and more. These common underlying conditions include food sensitivities, gluten intolerance, adrenal and thyroid imbalances, malabsorption, neurotransmitter deficiency and NAD deficiency. While these issues are treated, mostly with nutritional supplements and diet, the patient receives intravenous NAD and amino acids based in individually designed protocols for a 10 day period of time, supervised by our medical staff.READ MORE
Arising from the wisdom of many diverse cultures over hundreds of years, the macrobiotic principles are now merging with modern medical research to create convincing evidence for the most healing diet for mankind. Consider the following effects of a plant based diet:
• Weight loss (high fiber, nutrient rich and calorie restricted)
• Lowers cholesterol and blood pressure
• Reverses type 2 diabetes
• Reverses coronary artery disease
• Prevents heart disease, diabetes and cancer
Inherent in the principles of Chinese Medicine is the fact that there is a dynamic interplay between the mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical aspects of our being. In Chinese Medicine it is believed that the body has the ability to heal itself when given the harmonious and supportive conditions that nurture health. Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine are two of the modalities of Oriental Medicine that have now become widely accepted as effective treatments of alternative healthcare. Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), both an art and a science, has been practiced in China for over 5,000 years based on the understanding that any illness or symptom is the result of an imbalance of energy within the body as a whole and therefore the whole person must be addressed; body, mind, emotions, and soul.READ MORE
Intravenous therapies are an important tool in health promotion and they are used for a variety of purposes. Many people have chronic digestive problems which create poor digestion and assimilation, especially of minerals and amino acids. For example, magnesium deficiency occurs in 75% of Americans and contributes to a range of common problems, including muscle pain, fatigue and anxiety. Intravenous magnesium, and other nutrients, quickly restores deficiencies thereby helping patients to feel better right away.READ MORE
There is an abundance of scientific evidence supporting that breast thermography is the most sensitive and accurate way to identify women with breast cancer, especially in women under the age of 55, where it causes the most devastating loss of life. For women over 55, breast thermography is an important adjunct to clinical breast examination and mammography, as this combination has been documented to increase identification of breast cancers to 98 percent.READ MORE
